WORKSHOP & EVENTS
11th March, 13th May, 7th October, 11th November, and 9th December
Five Mansion Markets are held on the second Saturday of the month as shown above, and open at 11am and finish at
4pm. They are a pleasant and social occasion to browse, buy unusual presents, eat tasty food, enjoy music or a puppet
show or just relish the ambience of Kidbrooke Mansion.
There are over 70 stallholders at each Market offering a wide variety of interesting and high-quality goods from around the
world, hand-made items by local crafts people: woodwork, pottery, jewellery, stained glass and leather goods, secondhand
books, toys, plants, slippers and boots, hats, bags, clothes, organic bread & cakes, jams, chutneys, chocolates and much more.
Delicious, freshly prepared food is served all day in the Canteen.
There are puppet shows to entertain the children and therapists offering “taster” sessions of their various treatments.
Free parking and admission.
Following the storming success since its launch in 2015, Handmade in Britain will return to Kew Gardens for the third edition of HANDMADE AT KEW in October 2017!
This four-day international contemporary craft event offers you the opportunity to meet and buy directly from over 200 extraordinary designer-makers working across all disciplines including: ceramics, jewellery, fashion and textiles, glass, paper, furniture, metalwork, sculpture and interior accessories.
It’s a really special chance to invest in beautiful, unique products at a show where you can buy, browse and commission directly from the maker; unearthing the stories, inspirations and processes behind the exquisite work of some of the world’s most talented craftspeople. Most of the work on show can’t be found on the high street so it really is a one-off opportunity to shop for unique products and gifts in very picturesque setting.
The event is housed in an elegant pavilion next to Kew Palace and tickets to the event include entry to both the event and Kew Gardens, allowing you to enjoy the Gardens and crafts to the full. It’s a truly a unique shopping experience and great day out for all the family!

This is a well-established and highly successful stand-alone show which gives you a great opportunity to secure early Christmas business. Last year it was staged by Eden Crafts for the frst time with great success. The attendance was in excess of 9000 over the 4 days, similar to previous years and exceptional for a stand-alone event of this nature. The South of England showground has a catchment area which includes highly affuent parts of Surrey, Sussex and Kent, and this promises to be an exciting addition to our calendar. There will be 150 high quality craft and gift stands plus catering, and the event will be extensively advertised. There will be free entry for South of England Agricultural Society members on Thursday, and half price entry on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
This is a brand new stand alone event in a very affluent part of the country. Lingfield Park is just two miles from the Edenbridge and Oxted showground where we traded very successfully at the agricultural show in the summer of 2016. Access by road is very easy, with ample free parking, and the racecourse is ajacent to Lingfield Station on the Victoria to East Grinstead line. Lingfield Park hosts events on a regular basis and these are very well supported, with high attendences. Lingfield Park will assist with promoting the event. The resturant will encourage visitors to stay for lengthy periods and, perhaps, make a day of it and do some serious Christmas shopping. We are espencting an attendance of approximately 10,000 over the four days of the show.
Art in Clay Farnham is a smaller indoor event held in the lead up to Christmas – a good place to pick up a unique hand made gift. The Maltings is a beautiful old building in the heart of Farnham, which over the last few years has been tastefully refurbished. The work has made the building more accessible, but has kept all it’s character and charm.
This lovely light area proved to be the perfect spot for our recent show at South Downs Nurseries. During 2015, the owners of South Downs Nurseries invested heavily in building two beautiful oak barns. One houses the Coffee Shop and the other combines a lively farm shop, Tate’s Heritage Museum, built up over decades by the owners and workshops for local artists and artisans. It is hoped that the Heritage Centre will eventually become a major tourist attraction to visitors of the South Downs National Park area.
