Naked Raku Vase

Handcrafted in Urbino, Italy, this decorative vase is made using the Naked Raku technique. Each piece is entirely wheel-thrown and refined to achieve a smooth, elegant form.

The surface is coated with layers of terra sigillata, giving it a soft, satin-like sheen. The vertical lines are created using the sgraffito technique, carefully incised by hand before firing. During the Raku firing, smoke and fire naturally emphasize these lines, leaving deep black patterns that contrast with the light, silky surface. The interior is naturally smoked, adding depth and a subtle connection to the exterior patterns.

Each vase emerges from the kiln as a unique and unrepeatable work of art.
